The Animal Pad, or TAP, is a local San Diego all-breed non-profit rescue that is 100% volunteer run. They rescue thousands of dogs each year from San Diego, Southern California, and Mexico. In addition to helping these pups find their furever home, they provide medical care, food and shelter, and lots of love to the dogs in their care.
A rescue near and dear to my heart.
Last year my then-fiancé (now husband) and I were looking for opportunities to foster pups in the hopes that we would eventually foster fail. We were matched with a 10 week old rescue from the streets of Tijuana pretty immediately who was very ill and needed a foster ASAP. We quickly fell in love with her, and we adopted her shortly after bringing her home. She’s now a happy and healthy 1.5 year old named Captain. She’s my soulmate and best friend, and the Chief Treats Officer here at Wet Nose Pottery.
